Artist collaboration is a creative process beneficial for both parties. When people with similar interests, but different skills and experience exchange ideas, it stimulates the imagination and allows you to get a variety of options for solving a creative problem. This project was a collaboration with the talented artist Katrin Dar, in which she acted as a model and author of the idea.
I would describe the first stage of the project, a photo session. In my role as a photographer, I had the task of conveying various facets of mystical female beauty, reveal those subpersonalities that peacefully coexist in every woman – a gentle creature, femme fatale, caring mother, etc.
I decided to use a minimal set of creative tools. For instance, in order to transform the model’s look we used two pieces of transparent contrasting colour fabric, make-up and hairstyle made by a talented makeup artist, as well as the acting skills of the model itself.
As a photographer I was completely satisfied with the result, because in a relatively short timeline, I created dozens of unique images that show the complexity and depth of the feminine nature.
